United Welding Supplies Ltd was established in 1985 in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, where our head office remains today. Continued growth and expansion led to the opening of further branches in Norwich in 1989 and Peterborough in 1996.

Today, United Welding Supplies employs over 40 members of staff across sales, technical service, distribution and administration. With over 40 years of industry experience, we have developed into one of the UK's leading specialist distributors of welding equipment, welding consumables and associated industrial products, supporting businesses across a wide range of industries.

As a specialist welding distributor, we work closely with some of the world's leading manufacturers, including Kemppi, ESAB, Lincoln Electric, EWM, 3M Speedglas and Optrel. Our extensive product range includes MIG, TIG and MMA welding machines, welding consumables, welding helmets, respiratory protection equipment and a comprehensive selection of welding accessories. These established manufacturer relationships enable us to offer high-quality products, specialist technical support and dependable aftersales service.

Our dedicated team of sales engineers receives continuous product training, enabling us to provide expert technical advice, product recommendations and practical solutions to meet our customers' welding requirements efficiently and effectively. Supported by our experienced service engineers, we are committed to delivering a high standard of customer service and technical expertise.

With trade counters at each of our three branches, customers can benefit from convenient collection services, while our fleet of seven delivery vehicles provides free local deliveries within a 60-mile radius of each branch. In addition to our own distribution network, our partnership with DPD enables us to supply welding equipment and consumables to customers throughout the UK and internationally.
